A note from our CEO
Across Australia, the calls to make financial education compulsory are getting louder, and for good reason. With cost of living pressures rising and young people navigating a cashless, buy-now-pay-later world, momentum is building in parliament and in classrooms for financial literacy to become a mandatory part of the curriculum, not just an optional extra.
Financial education deserves real class time, but planning it from scratch takes real time too. So we made a decision: build the platform this moment deserves, drawing on everything we've learned over the last 10 years.
The new Banqer Primary is easier to deliver, more engaging, and gives students more to do.
Financial education in every classroom will change the financial futures of hundreds of thousands of young people, and I can't wait to see the new Banqer Primary in the hands of the teachers delivering it.
FAQs
Answers to your most common questions
What happens to my current Banqer Primary classroom?
It keeps working exactly as it does today, right through to the end of Term 4 2026. You can create new classrooms in the original platform up until 1 December, and from Term 4 we'll open up the new Banqer Primary for Early Access so you can try it out ahead of the new year.
What does Early Access actually give me?
Access to what's built so far, with more units and features added as we go. Your feedback during this period helps shape what ships in the full release, which lands in Term 1.
I have an old Banqer account. How do I make a new one to get access to the new version?
The platforms are separate, so even if you have a teacher account in the current Banqer Primary, you will need to re-register here. There is an option to use Google or Microsoft SSO, if you'd like.
Do students keep the same log-in details each year?
New log-in details will be created for students in each classroom they are added to. Since students typically change teachers and classrooms each year, their logins would change and they would start from scratch in a new Banqer Primary classroom at the start of a new school year.
When are new topics coming?
In the Term 4 Early Access phase, new features and topics are being launched regularly. Check the Topics tab to see what's 'Coming soon'.
Will there be support to help me get started?
Yes, help articles are available here. You can also use the chat button on your teacher screen to send through a quick question or contact us at primary@banqer.co to book a demo session and get a more in-depth look at how it all works.
What does the new version cost?
Thanks to the generous support of our Champion Partner Netwealth, Banqer Primary is free for Australian primary schools.
